Blue Ridge Elementary School is dedicated to reading excellence. We are a Model Reading and Writing Site under the North Carolina State Improvement Project II, sponsored by the Exceptional Children’s Division of the Department of Public Instruction. The goal of this project is to implement research-based instruction and improve the reading and writing performance of all students. Blue Ridge Elementary School participates in the Responsiveness to Instruction program that focuses on the students’ response to specific research-based interventions that are closely monitored to determine appropriate use of instructional strategies. This website is intended to provide literacy information for parents, teachers, and students of Blue Ridge Elementary School. Use the links to the left to find information that applies to you.
